What We Do
Carbon farming can be straightforward. The right guidance makes all the difference.
AiCarbon was established to meet a real and growing need in rural Australia: trustworthy, specialist guidance that helps agricultural landholders understand the genuine opportunities, and the genuine realities, of the Australian Carbon Credit Unit (ACCU) Scheme.
The carbon market is complex. The methodologies that govern it are specific to your land type, geographic region, rainfall, vegetation history, and the way you farm your land. Getting clear, reliable advice tailored to your specific situation, from people who understand farming as well as carbon science, has not always been easy to find. AiCarbon was built to change that.
We work with progressive, professionally managed agricultural businesses whose owners are looking to make the most of the natural capital their land holds. Carbon farming typically involves some trade-off with your existing production activities. That trade-off looks different on every property. Our job is to make sure you fully understand what yours would look like, the income potential, the management implications, the regulatory obligations, so that every decision remains yours to make.
Behind every AiCarbon assessment and project is a full multi-disciplinary team: experienced ecologists, spatial analysts and GIS mapping specialists, agronomists, financial modellers, project managers, and field crews equipped with drone technology and LiDAR equipment for precise land assessment. We don’t outsource this work. Our in-house professionals handle every stage, from your first inquiry to the day your ACCUs are sold in the market.
As holders of an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), we are also one of a small number of carbon developers in Australia authorised to actively manage the sale of your ACCUs, going to market on your behalf, timing sales strategically, and seeking the best available return. That is a significant difference from standard carbon project development services.
The Impact we Create Helping our Clients
How It Works
Step 1
Enquire
A simple conversation, no cost, no obligation. Tell us about your property and enterprise. We’ll give you an honest first read on whether carbon farming is worth exploring for your situation.
Step 2
Pre-Feasibility Assessment
Our ecologists, spatial analysts, and GIS specialists map your property and evaluate its carbon potential against all applicable methodologies. We build a realistic financial model for your specific land.
Step 3
Site Visit
Where the assessment warrants it, our field team visits your property to verify what the data tells us. Our drone and LiDAR specialists may conduct aerial surveys to build a precise picture of vegetation structure and extent.
Step 4
Management Plan
We develop a project management plan in consultation with you. This plan is designed around your farming enterprise, what changes are required, what stays the same, and what the timeline looks like. You decide what works.
Step 5
Consents & Agreements
All required consents, including any Native Title obligations, are identified and obtained. Your project agreement with AiCarbon is finalised, with full transparency on fees, revenue sharing, and obligations.
Step 6
Register with the CER
AiCarbon manages the formal registration of your project with the Clean Energy Regulator. All compliance documentation is prepared and lodged. Your project is officially active.
Step 7
ACCU Issuance & Sales
At audit intervals determined by your method, we manage the monitoring and audit process and submit for ACCU issuance. We then actively market and sell your ACCUs, using our Financial Services Licence to seek the best available price.

Farmer Voice
“Working with the team at AiCarbon on our carbon project at Buckleboo Station has been a genuinely rewarding experience. They’ve walked us through every step of the development process, from the drone and backpack lidar surveys to the ground-truthing, with a rigour and professionalism that’s given us complete confidence in what we’re building. The results speak for themselves: visitors who knew Buckleboo at its worst can’t believe the change in the country, and now that the carbon revenue is flowing, it’s a welcome reward for the patience and investment the project has asked of us.”

“From the first flyovers and field visits, the team at AiCarbon took the time to understand how Yuin actually works as a piece of country before they built the project around it — it’s felt more like a partnership than a contract from day one. Five years on, we’re watching native grasses and shrubs come back, water slowing down and staying where we want it, and a steady carbon income running alongside the pastoral enterprise — honestly, the environmental outcomes have become just as important to Emma and me as the revenue, and that says a lot about how the project has been delivered.”
How We Can Help
Frequently Asked Questions
How can carbon farming contribute to a climate-neutral future?
Carbon farming can contribute to a climate-neutral future by sequestering carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and reducing agricultural emissions, thus helping to offset greenhouse gases.
How can carbon farming create another income stream?
As part of Australia’s commitment to the Paris Agreement for climate change, Australia needs carbon sequestration to store carbon dioxide in the ground as forest. National schemes such as HIR, Revegetation, etc are legislated approved methods of storing carbon. By storing carbon, you are financially rewarded with ACCUs, which can be sold to private industry or government, thus creating an additional revenue stream to your ordinary pastoral enterprise.
How does AIC handle financial modelling of carbon credit generation and ACCU stock prices?
Australian Integrated Carbon conducts comprehensive financial modelling of carbon credit generation and ACCU stock prices. This provides clients with maximum transparency for different scenarios, helping them understand potential income streams and financial outcomes from their carbon farming efforts.
